 · Something I have found to make an audible difference is, getting a good match between the exit angle of the compression driver and the entry angle of the horn. A mis-match there introduces diffraction, and diffraction can degrade sound quality and impart a edginess the becomes progressively more audible as the SPL increases.  · Tweeters are Goto rolled in at a shallow 6db slope from 10 k so still significant output at 5k to compensate for beaming from the high mid horns even if the TAD still have significant on axiss response into the very high teens I use a BMS coaxial compression driver in the Orphean horn. (modded), 5 way custom horns with triple.  · My anecdotal experience with just a few compression drivers is they don't sound good at any level. They will play loud, but you won't care. But had the same experience with various horn speakers too. Heard K-horns a few places they didn't really belong and thought them way too shouty though efficient and loud.

First time in my life I heard right bass! Right bass is complete absence of bass in typical imagination, but very realistic reproduction of lowest octaves of piano and other instruments.
